She is a speech-language consultant at the Indiana Resource Center for Autism, which is part of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University. She consults with schools and families about issues related to autism spectrum disorder. She also writes, conducts research, and provides training. Beverly is the author of many articles about communication.
